Wrap-Up: Learning Log and Homework

1. January 22 will be the last opportunity to get your colleagues’ feedback on your web-based inquiry activity before we do the “Inquiry in Practice” activity. During our February 19 Institute Day 2, all DFL 2.0 participants will have the opportunity to lead a small group of peers through the activity you developed. This is an extremely valuable opportunity to get supportive feedback and work out any kinks in the activity before you do it with your students in Spring 1. Please bring 5 copies of the final draft of your web-based inquiry activity to the Institute.

2. Blogging to Learn! In preparation for your colleague C. Jason Smith’s presentation about blogging with students on January 22, read the following article from Campus Technology: “Avoiding the 5 Most Common Mistakes in Using Blogs with Students” by Ruth Reynard:
